I love stories.

I listen to them. I watch them on TV, videos, or movies. I read them.

And I write them.

I’ve written almost every kind of story there is. Mystery, romance, confession, science fiction, fantasy, paranormal, horror, and every other kind I can think of and garnered a couple prizes and ‘best-selling’ author designations along the way.

I’ve written short stories, novellas, and novels.

In the process I’ve learned that my favorite stories are science fiction and paranormal. Preferably the two combined.

My stories are always clean, they are always either contemporary or near future, they always have at least a slight romantic element, and they always end happily. Always. Guaaranteed. (Okay, two short stories, ‘The River Boy’ and ‘Down From The Mountain’ have endings that might not be considered completely happy. Maybe just somewhat happy. You decide.)

Check out the covers below and see what you think. And have a happy, happy day.

Snow Queens and Christmas Houses

The Christmas House

The Snow Queen cover

At the moment, I’m finishing up the second in the Wilderness Women series. It’s titled The Snow Queen. As you might guess from that title, it involves beautiful white snow and winter and the things that happen then.

I’m also getting into high gear publicizing the last of the Johns Falls books. It’s titled The Christmas House. It also, as you might guess from the title, involves beautiful white snow and winter and the things that happen then though this story is more specific about the time of year because it’s Christmas themed.

It’s easy to get confused.

When I sit down to either write another chapter of The Snow Queen or to come up with a new and different promotion for The Christmas House, I must first clear my mind. Breathe deeply. Exhale slowly. And try to remember which story I’m about to work on.

Usually I get it right.

Sometimes I must back up, cross out what I’ve done, and start all over again.
